It is with great regret that I inform you that the organising committee for the Australian Odour and Emissions Conference 2012 has decided to cancel the event planned for 4 – 6 December 2012 in Sydney, Australia.

As you are aware, UNSW is not-for-profit organisation, who rely on the support of our sponsors for hosting events. The current economic challenges in Australia have resulted in the poor sponsorship interest in the conference. In addition, there are number of key international odour events scheduled in 2012 and 2013, which are competing for the shrinking sponsorship pool. These circumstances have made it financially unviable for us to proceed with this event at this point in time. We also did not receive enough abstracts to execute a 3 day conference. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this cancellation decision may cause you.
